    Deputy City Manager

The Deputy City Manager performs those activities required to assist the City Manager in overseeing the operation of the city. These duties include working with staff on a variety of projects, assisting with policy development, project management and other duties assigned by the City Manager. The Deputy City Manager implements complex special projects and tasks assigned by the City Manager related to a broad range of topics and subjects. 

Brandon has 20 years of experience with the City of Lumberton and is an ICMA-Credentialed Manager, recognized for his strong work ethic. He became deputy city manager in 2018 after serving 14 years as planning and Neighborhood services director. Love holds degrees in architecture and environmental design and a master's in industrial design. A licensed architect and general contractor since 2006, he has also completed Municipal Administration and Public Executive Leadership programs. He is active in various organizations, including past president of the NC Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (Eastern Section) and president of the Rotary Club of Lumberton.
